Dear Friends,
We’ve definitely come along way since Samuel Thomas Sommering and others took us from print to electronic communications. That first telegraph developed 200 years, ushered in the age of electronic communications and has since morphed into technology capable of creating a global community.
Now, even those of us who recall the days of black and white television 
,pong computer games 
and cell phones the size of a small suitcase 
, have adopted a new way of communicating with the world. The internet rules – whether we like it or not. Adapt or suffer the consequences.
And so, with that preamble, we introduce Bob’s Blog. The purpose of which is to talk about all matters of travel and hospitality, NFL Football (more on that later) and Southern California’s newest resort property, Pacific Palms. Like Sommering’s simple electrochemical telegraph, we at Pacific Palms have morphed into something very different and want to spread the good news across the planet.
Introduced in the early 80’s as a business hotel surrounded by two exceptional golf courses, Pacific Palms Resort has recently completed $60 million dollars in significant improvements. The result of our labors is (drum roll please) – the only full-service, destination resort property in Los Angeles. Really! 650 pristine acres of golf, spa, dining, meetings facilities and more.
